Agu was responsible for building Woodside’s exploration team from a handful of technical staff to a fully integrated Business Unit with extensive international operations over the period 1995-2009. During this time Woodside grew its gross operated production from more than 400 kboepd to almost 1 million boepd. Net production increased to more than 250 kboepd when the giant Pluto gas field, discovered in 2005, reached full production during 2014. Over the period 2P reserves doubled despite cumulative production exceeding 900 mmboe. Whilst at Woodside, Agu led teams credited with discoveries in excess of 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) at a finding cost of less than A$3/boe.
