Dr. Kantsler has over 40 years of international experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, mostly in exploration roles, and with significant exposure to field appraisal and development, project economics, commercial negotiations, health, safety and security and technical innovation.

Agu was responsible for building Woodside’s exploration team from a handful of technical staff to a fully integrated Business Unit with extensive international operations over the period 1995-2009. During this time Woodside grew its gross operated production from more than 400 kboepd to almost 1 million boepd. Net production increased to more than 250 kboepd when the giant Pluto gas field, discovered in 2005, reached full production during 2014. Over the period 2P reserves doubled despite cumulative production exceeding 900 mmboe. Whilst at Woodside, Agu led teams credited with discoveries in excess of 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (boe) at a finding cost of less than A$3/boe.

Mr. Longley has 35 years of international experience in the upstream oil and gas business, mostly in exploration and new business development. Ian is a renowned regional petroleum geologist, with a very deep knowledge of SE Asia and Australasian hydrocarbon systems. He teaches the industry standard “Petroleum Geology of SE Asia” course and is a co-developer and owner of the widely-used “Player” common play elements mapping system.

Ian’s specialist technical skills include regional geology, hydrocarbon habitat and play analysis, new venture opportunity screening and the petroleum systems of Australasia and SE Asia.

B.Sc(Hons)

Dr. Ong has extensive experience in the service sector of the Indonesian oil and gas industry. He was instrumental in setting up and managing geochemistry, core analysis and sedimentological services at PT Geoservices, Indonesia. In association with Migas, the Directorate for Oil and Gas, he lobbied for legislation allowing multiclient surveys (PP 35/2004 and Permen 28/2008) and, since then, has helped several seismic contractors to execute a number of ‘spec’ geophysical surveys. The resulting data have been used by Migas in the design of new blocks for gazettal.

Prior to joining the industry Jan worked at several universities in the US and Canada where he researched porphyrin biomarkers and the Athabasca tar sands.His last university-related research and teaching position was at the University of New Orleans (1980) where he served as Assistant Professor of Chemistry.

Dr. McNutt is a seasoned technical expert in the international oil and gas industry with deep technical knowledge of all aspects of the upstream business including geology, geophysics, geomatics, reservoir engineering, petrophysics and production technology.
